Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Kader – Director Of Architecture

Dr. Abdel-Kader is leading a career combining academia and practice serving the K&A’s strategic goals and quality assurance.

With a Bachelor degree in Architecture and Masters in Urban Design from Cairo University together with a PhD in architecture from the University of California at Berkeley in May of 2002, Dr. Abdel-Kader covers diverse areas of the academic spectrum from architecture to urban design and planning.

Dr. Abdel-Kader’s expertise varies geographically from Egypt to France (practicing interior design), to England and the USA (practicing Architecture). During these visits Dr. Abdel-Kader had established relationships with business partners with the objective of working together on complex assignments in the Middle East and Africa, exploring new ideas.

Dr. Abdel-Kader’s expertise varies from design of residential and commercial complexes to industrial plants and educational facilities.

Dr. Abdel-Kader also leads K&A’s management process and planning. Other than the architectural design assignments, Dr. Abdel-Kader is in charge of planning projects as well as urban economics and real estate consulting catering on his additional studies of real estate at Haas School of Business and Planning Department at Berkeley.

Dr. Abdel-Kader currently occupies the post of Associate Prof. of Architecture, Planning and Urban Economics at Cairo University and is currently the Managing Principal of K&A Designs.
